I wake up covered in dew

As I drift from my dreams to the reality of you

And as you paint a new morning across the sky

And daylight warms the night

I realise I have been preserved in your mercy and your light

In the path of each day I am racking up debt

Proving to myself that sin is still a losing bet

I fall into you at the conclusion of night

To find mercy still comforts me in your everlasting light

And I wake up covered in dew

Still unworthy, and yet drowning in mercies from you

-

I wake up covered in dew,

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

So great is love from you

And it falls on me like a sheet of rain from the highest heavens

Overwhelming me here on land

Where once stood a desert place

Is now full to bloom with your love

On ground once cracked with dust,

Now your love has filled to flooding

And there I am, floating in the midst

Swirling in you like a cosmic kiss

Forever consumed in your starstruck love

Forever satisfied by your heavenly touch

And I wake up covered in dew

For as much as your pour out, there is still more left to taste

More of you left like residue on this life you gave

More of you left like glue on the surface of my face

Except your even closer, even deeper, and even harder to take away

Every day faithful, covered in dew
